    It frees space.

I've gone from a Passat to a Golf and I find myself being irritated by the handbrake lever almost every day...

Had mine for 4 weeks now and lovin' it all. The auto hold function is a joy with the DSG box. Lot less tiring in slow moving or stationary traffic. The space is almost unbeatable, premium bluetooth is a joy to use and loadsa music on my SD card. What isn't there not to like?!!

When i first drove it i thought it was ok after having it a month or so i started to notice the problems.

Forgot to mention the awful clutch vibrates judders and i am on my third dual mass and clutch kit.

I would get rid of it if i could afford to.

I love the acceleration, speed and handling, even for an estate. I also love the looks, black with crome roof rails, it would look even better if I could be ***** to buy some chicago wheels. What I don't like is the thirst, maybe I need to start driving more conservativley. But its immpossible to press the accelerator gently when you know what happens when you floor it.

I got a pair of fog lights for £43 delivered from this Ebay seller: http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/VAGTEAM2.

I then got the light switch and grills for £59 delivered, so the price was more like £102 now I’ve checked, sorry.

I bought a 40amp relay from Maplin for a couple of quid and some good cable clips to route the cable from the back of the light switch to the relay in the engine compartment.

Oh, I’ve just remembered the fog light loom, that was like £40 from a UK supplier.

Damn, so I spent about £140. I get confused with what I tell the wife.

So forget what I said originally, aim for £140-£150.

    Noisy engine 2.0tdi.

    Starts rough in the morning.

Ride is very choppy on the motorway.

    Hard ride round town.

Wind noise is loud from the back of the car when on motorway.

Plastics on dash are cheap and flimsy.

    Handbrake sticks on sometimes.

    Glovebox rattles.

Apart from that it looks nice from the outside.

    lol!
