    Is it possible fit the facelift grill , on a pre face lift car?

    They are pretty much the same apart from the extra chrome on the FL grill and air ducts unless it's the BE that just looks the same.
    Might be cheaper to get a vinyl guy to do the chrome.
    Will post some pics of pre and fl when I get home.

    If you are talking about the singleframe grille, my understanding is that the upper, outer edges are now longer on the FL (the line of the grille that tracks the inner edge of the headlight assembly), making the grille more "hexagonal" at the top. This would mean major front-end surgery to fit an FL grille to a pre-FL car.

    I think you would need to invest in a new front bumper, bonnet and headlights if you want the facelift grill as the shape is quite different!

    You could do an aftermarket job to upgrade your own pre-facelift grill to look like this

    looks good , is it vinyl wrapped or the " 3m chrome strip " type that u can get from ebay in various lengths ?

    This. The various SE/S-Line/S6/RS6 grills can be swapped, but only from pre-facelift to pre-facelift or facelift to facelift.
    To go pre-facelift to facelift you'd need to do all of grill/bumper/bonnet/headlights at the same time/.
