Yeah my fronts a brembo aswell mark. They're good discs however I get excessive squeeking from them. To be honest I think it's the pads. I have to clean the face of the pads on an almost weekly basis as it drives me mad.

Possibly a weight saving benefit, but more likely made for multiple applications

Yeah I think I'm going to have to change the front pads as I'm not going to be able to put up with the noise for much longer. Thanks for the video gupsterg. I've watched it a few times over the past few weeks. Just hopefully the battery charger will keep the system voltage up enough. Any idea what would happen if the system voltage fell too low? I'm assuming the EPB would fail. I've got VCDS and the genuine Ross-Tech cable. VCDS & Elsawin are by far the best buys for my audi that I've made. Bar the car itself of course

I've used charger for MMI update & EPB on slave points under bonnet no issues, I did make sure all interior lighting was switched off via switch, fan blower on AC by holding down "ECON on/off" and turned off any other functions which I thought would be a drain ...

This video helped me remove the front/rear discs as they were seized on...

A bit off topic, just had my front discs/pads changed at 172.000 km.

At what mileage do you change the back discs?

To be honest mate it depends on the type of discs and pads you're using and how heavy you are on the brakes. On my rear discs the minimum thickness is 10mm. The best way to tell is to run your fingers across the surface of the disc and if there's a prominent ridge on the outer edge, it's most probably time to change them

Thanks, that's what the AD said too. At which mileage did you have yours changed?

My discs were done just short of 90,000 miles (144,000m) Indy advised they (originals) still had another 20k miles left in them but better off/cheaper getting all 4 corners done at once Pads I'm sure don't last that long maybe every 30k miles/50k kilometers
