After failing in my attempts to convince my other half this was a great addition to the car, I have been forced to sell all parts to complete the autohold retrofit...

This includes the switch and the wiring as per the guide posted on theses forums. It'll be visible in the for sale section, when it's been approved for listing.

Thanks for reading, hope someone wants to complete this retrofit!

Really... i WANT to wear the trousers... just always don't get the chance to

Anyway, VW did accept returns on all but a wire and housing... So the money down the drain was down from £39 to £5... then immediately ordered new boot struts, which do need replacing pretty quickly...

Try telling someone not technically minded that although it's a function that uses the parking brake, I'm not going to brake the parking brake, or put lives at risk by fitting auto hold AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!

Lost the will to win the argument, so moving on to other things... Definitely one of those things you have to do, without saying anything, then just claim the button was there all along....

My arrangement is: I don't give advice on fruit crumbles and what goes in the washing machine; OH doesn't give advise on what the car needs - 'nuff said. My Auto Hold is GREAT by the way & perfect for a DSG box!
