It's a 2006 A6 avant 2.7tdi S Line with 70k mileage + a manual gearbox. On the test drive it was very good, no clutch / gearbox issues, engine was smooth + pulled well. No suspension issue's or general rattles etc. It 'seems' like an awesome car tbh.
The dealership (not Audi, just a general outlet) is due to service it (oil + air filter etc), will change the brake fluid also, MOT it + refurb the alloys.
Would anybody have any advice on what to look out for + any recommendations?
- I'm looking at doing the swirl flap fix, I understand I can pick up the kit from Audi?
- Remap? any recommendations of the type + somebody in the West Yorkshire area would be ideal
- What type of mpg should I expect around town, I'm hoping for mid-30's?
Thanks again, I'm sure I'll be a regular visitor
I wouldn't bother with swirl flaps until it becomes an issue (just did mine at 73000) so yours may have been done prior. I have just had mine serviced and is now on fixed 10000 miles/ 1 yr servicing. (see forum for longlife against fixed servicing) so maybe asked garage to change to fixed (up to you). Also try and start the car from cold and listen for rattles (cam tensioners) Check and push every button, switch and knob to make sure all works. If possible get him to scan the cars computer whilst you are there, so you can see any errors (These will be in RED). Good luck, great car..I have one.
