    Hi

I recently bought a 2008 B8 TFSI manual, its great but with one annoyance. The clutch pedal seems in line(ish) with the steering column, so my knee hits the bottom of the steering column when i release it.

I have fiddled around with the positioning of wheel, so i either bend my knee out slightly when changing gear, or have my knee slightly behind the steering wheel.

I am just under 6 foot so not ridiculously tall!

Has anyone else has this problem?

    I'm 6'4" and can't say I've noticed this either.

Is your steering wheel at the top of its travel?

Have you tried moving your seat back or adjusting the hight as well as the stereing wheel?

I'm about 6'3" and never had this problem in any car (well, a robin reliant and a MG midget) unless i've got the seat forward to far. feels right but my knees would hit things.

Silly question, but the seat is as low as it will go? Sounds like you are not sat low enough or far back enough to me! Im a short ar$e and with my seat low the start of the window is level with my ears!

I think its because i sat fairly high up in my old car, which was causing the problems. I did have the column as far up as possible. Anyway so I lowered the seat more this morning, and no problems with the knee, just little getting used too i suppose.

On an unrelated note I ended up going to the dealers this evening, the driver door wouldn't open (with the fob or physical key). The guy on service desk tried it and didnt work for him but when i got it back the mechanic he couldnt find any fault and just applied some lubricant.

I thought audis are meant to be bullet proof!

Anyway thanks for you help chaps.
