    Hi Guys,
Looking to get a newer A4 soon...will most likely be the 3.0TDi saloon . I am aware that alot of people are having issues with the DPF on the A4 series (even some friends who work in the dealers told me this too). I was thinking, if I did decide at somepoint to get the DPF removed, can anyone recommend a company to do it at a reasonable price? Id obviously want a good job done...and preferably within the Essex area (but willing to travel further if necessary). Not sure if you guys are allowed to post it here..so if not, feel free to PM me with it.

    Cheers,

    -Andrew

No, I dont own the car yet! was just doing my homework as I was aware of DPF issues on cars. I did find a company in Greenwich in London that can do the full job for £600 including a remap though. The general message though seems to be don't do it unless your really having problems. At the moment things like MOT won't be a problem, but thinking long term you've got to bear in mind things like future resale of the car, future MOT emissions changes etc. Short term though..its not a bad idea!

the 3.0 common rail suffers far less dpf issues compared to the 2.0 pd engine, the price quoted seems cheap as you need to remove the dpf as well as delete the software
