Now that's one handsome looking car Marc1

I expect it costs a fortune, but does anybody have a clue if the S-Line kit will fit a 2003 model?

I guess B6's with the S-Line kits only rolled out of the factory at the end of production in 2005?

Did you alter the exhausts yourself? I thought it was only the later TDI's with a DPF that Audi blessed with straight tail pipes (as opposed to down-turned).

PS: How come you had to get rid of the remap, did the wife find out about it

Retrofitting the S-Line exterior packet is possible, did it on my -02 Avant. The front spoiler is quite tedious to fit though as you need to modify your original bumber for it to fit or get a complete S-Line front bumber that will cost an arm and a leg.

Cheers mate. S Line kit was introduced in 2004 IIRC. You can retrofit it easily enough.

Staight pipes are only on the B8 diesels now. The B7's had down turned pipes too, just fatter than B6 and exposed. One on each side for the 170's and the quattros. I had this one fitted and swapped over the lower valance. The exhaust is from a 2.0T B7 petrol cat back only.

Why has the remap gone? Lol, I'm sure A8 Tech will have an 'interesting' coment on that one . Basically, under heavy load, it would overboost, spiking too high and causing limp mode. It went back time after time, and I ended up doing a lot of investigation with some of Garrett's distributors to see what the max was that the turbo could safely take. The remap would allow it to greatly exceed these limits at the top end (think this can be prevented by actuator adjustment, lower boost and less fuel added). I don't want this to come across that I think all remaps are bad or that the company I used aren't any good, but the map on my car was not suitable and it was removed and a refund given. Bit gutted really, but it did put out 148BHP and 260lb/ft in standard form, so for the sake of longevity I'll keep it as it is, at least for now.

Marc1, that looks sweet and has now given me more ideas, are the covers under the bonnet for the abs etc standard?
Are there hangers for that exhaust?

docurley, sound like a good plan for yours and a good spec, shame about the b5.

BorabOy the covers are kind of standard, they seem to be on some of the B6's and not others, so I added them to tidy things up as they're only cheap. I'll dig out the part numbers for you.

Re exhaust, you just need a OFS heat shield and hanger. The mounting point is there already, just remove the plastic cover that is there now and you'll see it.

It's finding them and getting them, most parts seem to be up North and no one wants to send them out collection only.
