Squeaky pram

My A6 Allroad squeaks over bumps like a rusty pram on cobblestones. Took it in, got relieved of a tidy sum for new brake pads all round, and surprise surprise — the squeak’s still there. Mechanic stuck it on the shuffle plate (or whatever magic dance floor that’s supposed to be) and declared it “all fine.” So apparently I’ve just paid premium rates for absolutely nothing, other than the privilege of driving the world’s most expensive baby buggy.

I know its an arm but I just want it diagnosed and replaced.

Is there anyone in manchester who can do this?

From what I can see from home is the rear dampers are an issue with noises, revised number 4G0 616 031 AD and £700.80 retail inc but available aftermarket from Bilstein (20-264765), Sachs (319 0690 and Vaico (V10-7863) plus a couple of other makes. A shaker plate as our MOT station calls it only produces X motion (horizontal left to right) and rotational movement, what would be vey helpful in a workshop would be a Y motion deflection tester.
