Hello Bought Golf 2008 with BXE engine 217k miles
Need to replace con rod shells to help avoid problems

I expect my list to include con rod shells Con rod Bolts Sump Gasket
Tightening procedure for con rod bolts
Any help appreciated

could I ask if it may be possible to fit an asz engine from an Audi a3 1993 as a possible swop to the 2008 golf

93 A3, you mean 2003? Yes it will fit but you would need EVERYTHING else in the engine bay and I suspect the ECU could not be matched to the immobiliser so you would need that removing.

Thanks Sorry I did mean 2003 And will the immob from audi A3 need to be fitted to the Golf or can the golf one be deleted . After many refusals I have found a person in garage willing to take on bearing bolt replacement,so I may have more options no
