    Hello guys,

Got my 2017 Q7 over the weekend and like [possibly] everyone else was hugely disappointed by the sound quality of 60k machine. Figured out the tiny 6", unbranded sub-woofer waaayyy at the back - the usual learning curve etc. Then I tried a few of my 24-bit, 44/96 kHz FLACs off the SD card and TBH, sound wasn't not too bad. The sound was still a bit hollow and blunt but overall good. First I was looking into option to upgrade it to Bose but then I thought maybe, replacing the sub probably take it to the acceptable level. Looked at a few subs but particularly this one: Pioneer TS-WX120A appears to be very promising. I think it's small enough to fit underneath the third row seats. Does anyone have any idea or comment about it? Another thing: this is an active sub, so need power supply. Is it possible to do in that area?

I'm driving Audi for over 15 years but very new to this Q7 business. My apology in advance if this has already been asked. Thanks in advance!

Thanks to both of you - Gazwould and anemeth!
I did think about using a MDF ring and replace sub in-place but I want to have at least an 8" and active. Any idea how do I trap a 12v line or if it's possible at all.
Also, I don't have spare wheel, so not sure if can fit/use the MDF enclosure that suggested by Gazworld.

but anyway, a powered sub possible at all?

Very nice work anemeth (and encouraging ). Any idea about replacing the stock sub with a active one? No one tried that yet?

    No idea.

You have to consider, that you can get only speaker level output for active sub. Also you have to source 12V from the battery and switch it on on ignition, get bracket/space for the amp, etc. As I listen to 80/90-es pop/rock I am happy with the bass. I would consider active sub only for house/dance music, but I would try first passive sub with say 8-10" speaker.

I'm also not really in House music but don't like shallow sound either. This one 'looks' impressive (8" though):

Or any recommendation for a 10"?
