Pioneer, millionaire, bestseller: the 991 series has been the most comprehensively-developed generation of the 911 to date – and the most successful too, with 233,540 units produced. The final specimen has now rolled off the production line: a 911 Speedster. Please use the following link for more information about the highlights of the 991 generation:

Michael Steiner, Chief Research and Development Officer Porsche AG has commented: “Porsche stands for both tradition and innovation. This is reflected nowhere more clearly than in the core of the brand – the 911. The 911 replaced the 356 in 1963 and, in the decades that followed, our rear engine model grew into an unrivalled sports car icon. The 991 generation in particular has set new standards in terms of performance, drivability and efficiency. It fills me with pride, as well as a touch of sadness, to have to send it off into retirement. For myself, I can say that the 991 has given me enormous pleasure.”

    991 series review

The 991 generation was launched in 2011 as one of the biggest development steps in the history of the 911. Nearly 90 percent of all components were newly designed or had undergone substantial further development. Thanks to a lightweight body made of an innovative aluminium-steel composite, it was the first time that a new 911 had weighed less than its predecessor. The chassis, which benefitted from a 100 millimetre-longer wheelbase than the model that it replaced, could be equipped with a new, optional roll stabilisation system – Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control ...

La Voiture Noire”, the black car, was a special Type 57 SC Atlantic created by Jean Bugatti – the most famous and most beautiful car in the world. Only four were built between 1936 and 1938. The black car disappeared at the beginning of the Second World War. If it were ever to be found, it would probably be the most expensive and most valuable car in the world.

Director Achim Anscheidt reinterpreted “La Voiture Noire”, bringing this special automobile forward to the 21st century. The modern interpretation of the coupé was created as the ultimate Gran Tourismo for Bugatti enthusiasts. This unique specimen once again demonstrates that Bugatti makes the most powerful, luxurious and exclusive hyper sports cars in the world. “The true form of luxury is individuality. 'La Voiture Noire' is the spearhead of automotive engineering – a sculptural beauty,” says Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann. A coupé́ with the comfort of a luxury limousine and the power of a hyper sports car.

La Voiture Noire is continues to attract interest

Interest in the vehicle with its unique shape has been enormous ever since. Bugatti now offers its customers two versions of an edition model: in sporty style as the “Chiron1 Noire Sportive” and with a focus on elegance as the “Chiron Noire Élégance”.

Black exposed carbon covers the finely wrought body of the “Chiron Noire Élégance”. The grille of the famous Bugatti radiator sports a fresh design, while the Bugatti “Macaron” emblem sits at the centre, made of solid silver and exclusively refined with black enamel. Calipers ...

    • Four-strong RS 6 range now available priced from £92,700 OTR
    • RS 6, RS 6 Carbon Black, RS 6 Vorsprung, RS 6 Launch Edition options
    • RS 7 Sportback from £97,050 OTR also available in these four versions

    • All-wheel-steering and sport differential as standard, RS-specific adaptive air suspension / RS sport suspension with DRC depending on version

Audi UK has wrapped up the pricing and specification process for two of the most gifted modern day Audi Sport models. The much loved combination of venom and versatility that is the RS 6 Avant returns to the UK priced from £92,700 OTR with a choice of four specification packages – RS 6, RS 6 Carbon Black, RS 6 Vorsprung and a limited run RS 6 Launch Edition, while the bullish yet beautiful RS 7 Sportback five-door coupé starts from £97,050 OTR and is also initially available in these four versions.

“These incredible new successors to firm favourites from Audi Sport made their world debuts to great critical acclaim earlier in the year, and for their arrival in the UK we have created a range of market-specific equipment packages that fully capitalise on all that they have to offer,” says Director of Audi UK Andrew Doyle. “Whether they prefer the unadulterated brawn of the RS 6 or the more elegantly framed extremity of the RS 7, our customers can choose from four carefully considered UK specification options that show each model in its very
    best light.”

Updates to styling and technology keep the 450PS RS 5 Coupe and RS 5 Sportback in peak condition

    • RS 5 Coupé and RS 5 Sportback now with updated exterior design
    • New operating concept with a large MMI touch display
    • Both models available as RS 5, RS 5 Carbon Black and RS 5 Vorsprung
    • OTR pricing from £69,500 – available to order in the UK in early 2020
    • Twin-turbo V6 with 450PS and 600 Nm, 0–62mph in 3.9 seconds

Hot on the heels of the updated Audi RS 4 Avant, its sister cars have also now moved with the times aesthetically and technologically. The RS 5 and RS 5 Sportback now combine the latest Audi exterior design hallmarks with the upgraded cabin configuration already adopted by the RS 4, bringing MMI touch technology based around a large central screen. The twin-turbo V6 with its 450PS output and 600 Nm of torque continues to provide spine-tingling performance that is reflected in sub-four-second 0-62mph sprint capability.

“The revision of the RS 5 Coupé and RS 5 Sportback marks the successful conclusion of our 25th anniversary and the renewal of our model range,” says Oliver Hoffmann, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. “Thanks to the standard permanent quattro drive, they occupy a special position in their segment.”

    Streamlined: the exterior design

The enhancements to the exterior of the two RS 5 models are evident at first glance. At the front, the Singleframe is now wider and flatter in line with its big brothers, the RS 6 and RS 7, and new implied air vents above the grille provide a visual link with the classic Audi Sport quattro from 1984.

Flanking the grille are large, strongly contoured ...

    • Family SUV Tarraco adds front-wheel drive to turbocharged 1.5 litre 150PS petrol engine and seven-speed automatic gearbox line-up
    • New combination makes brand’s largest SUV an even more compelling option in the competitive segment
    • Introduction expands the SUV’s potential in the fleet market and gives an option for those that don’t require all-wheel drive technology
    • Priced from £29,900 OTR, available now at www.seat.co.uk/Tarraco

SEAT is expanding its Tarraco SUV offering with the introduction of the front-wheel drive model with its advanced DSG automatic transmission.

The introduction of the 1.5 TSI 150PS DSG front-wheel drive reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, increasing the Tarraco’s appeal to fleets and customers where 4Drive all-wheel drive technology isn’t as critical. Until now, SEAT’s largest SUV has only been available either in front-wheel drive mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, or in 4Drive all-wheel drive configuration paired to the seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.

The new front-wheel drive Tarraco has a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, with a maximum power output of 150PS and maximum torque of 250Nm between 1500-3500rpm. Combined with the advanced seven-speed DSG automatic transmisison, it can reach 100km/h in just 9.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 198km/h.

With CO2 emissions from 164g/km (NEDC Equivalent: 133g/km) and fuel consumption of 35.3mpg (7.2litres/100km) based on the Test Energy Low WLTP test cycle, the big brother in SEAT’s SUV line-up becomes an even more competitive ...

    • Efficient production facility for the T-Roc Cabriolet1 built for a high double-digit million euro amount
    • Further investments on a similar scale planned at the site

Production of Volkswagen's new T-Roc Cabriolet starts today at the Osnabrück plant. The plant's facilities, including the production and logistics operations, were extensively optimised in advance for the Volkswagen brand's only convertible.

At the ceremonial start of production in front of staff at the plant today, Andreas Tostmann, Volkswagen Management Board Member for Production, said: “The vehicle was in large part developed in Osnabrück. Now it is being produced here too. It is a genuine child of the site. A site that in the process has been able to fully demonstrate its strengths.” He continued: “The team did a lot of work to bring the T- Roc Cabriolet here and are now finally reaping the reward for their efforts. Production, assembly and logistics have been extensively modernised for a high double-digit million euro amount and are of an excellent standard.” Tostmann went on to stress Volkswagen's ongoing commitment: “Over the next five years too we will be investing further in the site on a similar scale – predominantly in the production of the T-Roc Cabriolet.”

    • Multi-award-winner now starts from £45,445 RRP OTR in SE guise
    • Large SUV benefits from Volkswagen’s 48-hour test drive programme

Volkswagen has expanded the line-up for its acclaimed Touareg SUV, adding entry-level, mid-range and high-end specifications with a focus on technology to double the number of available variants on offer. The new start point for Touareg ownership gets 19-inch Osorno alloys, a Discover Pro 9.2-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Gesture Control and integrated voice control, front and rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control amongst its standard equipment. For the SE, most of the SEL’s standard-fit equipment has been kept, with luxury fittings like leather upholstery being reserved for the higher-end models to enhance the value of the entry-level car. The highly praised 231 PS and 286 PS 3.0-litre V6 TDI engines are available on this trim.
