Audi Southampton are charging me £595! TBH i think is way to expensive. How long ago you had purchase that Gap insurance?

Before you go diving in after GAP insurance..theres just two points I can think of worth mentioning.
1. GAP insurance is cheaper elsewhere (you can shop around for it online)
2. Many car insurers will pay out the full value of the car if it is younger than 2-3 years. Check your smallprint!

My personal view on it is I don't bother with it - its a great markup for dealers which is why they love selling you it, and
you'd have to be in a pretty damn serious accident to write off £40,000 worth of car...

Yes, but you can opt to pay for it separately if you want to avoid finance / interest charges.

Elsewhere I got 4 years of £40k cover for £239, now you know why the dealers push it.

Don't forget your car could get knicked, the nicer it is the more it could. A guy at my work had his fancy 4x4 Golf GTI thingy swiped from the airport carpark, it was 3 years old and he got a new car, upgraded to a superseded model that had a better/more modern spec.. its the main reason why I got it.
