Its here, after nearly 8 months of patient waiting and looking at the ever increasing bulge, its finally arrived.

But ....

If I take it now it will depreciate by an additional £500 plus, owing to the new prefix in September and so..... I am waiting whilst my new 'baby' sits in the garage and the bulge in my wallet gets larger.

Its a good job I'm off next week on holiday for a 3 week break, otherwise I would have to visit the garage every day and its only 110 miles away

On the 2nd September if you see an Allroad heading North on the M1 with a big guy with an even bigger grin it will be me. Please don't hoot if you think I'm driving slowly, I just want to keep the car nice and clean and more importantly for its first outing... pose

That's exactly what I'd do.....although I would give it a thorough inspection now just in case

i wouldnt be able to stop myself driving everyday the 110 miles to get a look, enjoy the new motor

I thought 6 months was bad, but in the end I waited for the 11 plates to be released before taking delivery of mine, the longest 3 weeks of my life ... worth it though!

Is it acceptable to visit the garage before my holiday and take a picture so I know what I am returning to, or is that a bit naff?

I think its acceptable seeing as you have spent that much dosh. I would have to, defo. Excuse could be just to check its all in order spec wise :-)

As I said, you should inspect it before hand ..... which of course means taking a reference picture
