    Agree that they are useful for low speed turns but they do attract attention and unfavourable comments. Multifunction controller ought to allow deselection of these lights, but of course it doesn't (Ford have far better system of electronic control).

    If its a 2010 model you can turn them off through the indicator switch. It tells you how in the owners manual.

    That indicator switch must be pretty clever to do that as well as turning off the DRLs, or have I missed something.
    Just for the record, I have not got those ACLs.

    I'll let you know next week assuming all is sorted now when i pick the car up, when i asked about this at the dealers they didn't know the answer...

    mine's a 2010 model - but don't recall seeing this deselection option in the manual. I'll double check later and come back to you.
