    Hi,

Do you have Bluetooth High or Low?

If you have high, try connect the car to the phone, rather than the phone to the car if that makes sense!

    -switch the ignition on
-make sure the handsets bluetooth is on
-On the blackberry; MENU > MANAGE CONNECTIONS > scroll down to BLUETOOTH OPTIONS > (make sure the bluetooth is on!) > press the menu button on the blackberry to get options > ADD DEVICE > SEARCH.
-The search should automatically find the AUDI ****
-Pair the 2 devices, the passcode is 1234.
-Once the connection has been established, it can take a bit of time to add the phone book list to the car...so be patient. Message PLEASE WAIT will appear.
-Once that is done, your set to go!

-Use the thumbwheel and buttons to make/receive calls. ETC! Errors appear when these thumbwheel buttons, the mode buttons are pushed.

If the contacts arn't going onto the cars phone book, then make sure your contacts are SAVED TO SIM on the handset.

    thanks just tried your procedure.

The phone connects up to car ok,

I can see my numbers dialed list & names

When i go to the phonebook It says no entries found.

When I go to recieved calls it just shows me numbers not names.

I have 750 numbers in my black berry memory so they won't fit on the memory card.

I have the car phone setting set to sim,tel for the memory usage.

I am totally puzzled by this. I have read every forum possible to try to solve this, the car does not even look like it is getting any numbers from the phone.

I have the same phone and a month old Avant SE with phone prep low. I can confirm it does work but takes while for the contacts to appear on the screen.

I cannot manually upload to the car [object push error] but within a minute or so after getting in the car the phone book menu becomes available on the dash screen.

My blackberry is a silver 8300 curve on O2.

    Does this help?

They are in chronological order. However the oldest numbers dialled are at the top of the list, and the most recent are all the way down the bottom of the list.
Its a bit backward, I agree, but FYI: Thats how it works.

Gents, I have had the same problem in the past and have spent nealry a year trying to get an answer from Blackberry and Audi. Good news is I;ve got the solution.

    To ensure the contacts transfer to the phone book as displayed in the MMI screen do the following;

    1. With your audi turned on and connected via bluetooth, disconnect and delete the pairing.
    2. Switch your audi off ensuring the ignition is off too.
    3. On you blackberry look at your email screen and hit the menu button and and select "view folder"
    4. Scroll down and select "phone call logs"
    5. Whilst holding the shift key scroll down to select all entries then delete them
    6. Repeat step 4 & 5 but select "missed calls" instead of phone call logs
    7. Now repair the blackberry with your audi.
    8. Viola, the phone book will transfer.
The rationale for this fix is that the Blackberry memory stores all calls in a seperate part of its memory. if you delete the call logs from the phone screen i.e. when you select re-dial, this does not delete the items from the main "hidden" memory. The Bluetooth function tries to push the contacts from the "hidden"memory but becomes blocked due to its size. If you have not cleared the "hidden" memory in this way before you can have up to 9 months of call data stored in it which is too much for the bluetooth to handle.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on and remember to clear the hidden memory every few months.

    Cheers

    Kevin
