    Hi mate,

Have you fitted these yet? If not could you keep updated as I will be ordering some even though not getting my GT untill september.

I know its only minor mod but it really bugs me because it makes such a difference! So are they basically the tips that come on the new s-lines? Also just a thought what about the tips that come with the new GTD would they be available from vw or is the exhaust completely different on that?

Not fitted them yet as I need to collect from Royal Mail tomorrow.

    Hopefully they will fit ok.

I presume they are the same as the Audi S-Line but not sure.

The GTD does have chrome exhausts but whether they are added tips or a different exhaust then I'm not sure.

VW don't list tips as an accessory although Skoda do for the Octavia/Superb.

hi mate, iv"e got a golf mk6 1.4 tsi (122) .i"m sure its the same backbox as yours. like yourself i ordered from stafford audi a pair of twin pipes for the A3 and you can make them fit by bending the four spring grips downward and wedgeing something (i used stiff foam ) or cardboard under each one.it makes a tight fit when you slide it over the original pipe. at £55 i was determined they were gonna fit(lol) and upto now there still on and look great. it"s worth a try good luck.

I've ended up going the custom route and spoke to an exhaust manufacturer who is going to make some polished stainless tips made to fit, they will just slide over the originals and be tacked on at the back to secure them. I've gone for rolled in edges for a more OEM look. Pipes will end up as 2 x 2.5" and look similar to this:

Looks good - how much? And any chance on a group buy?
