    They will cost £20 each plus VAT. A group buy could be explored, once they have fitted mine and presuming all GT's are the same whether petrol or diesel I could ask how much cheaper they could if there was enough interest for a batch of say 10 people.

    Also P&P to consider to protect the tubing. Also any potential buyers would then need to arrange their own welding to secure them to the back box.

    So Skoda = 50mm
    Audi = 70mm
    VW = 60mm

    I'm still thinking about the ones the GTD has as standard. If these fit then surely can be purchased from VW not as an accessory but spare part??

    it's very possible but it may also come as a complete back box,which would prob cost about £150.

    I'm going to hold off until VW's new accessories catalogue is available, not to mention that I don't even have my mk6 yet!

    No point VW will not be producing trims as per this reply from VW:

    Good Afternoon,

    Thank you for your recent query, unfortunatly Volkswagen do not use
    stainless steel exhaust tips as the exhaust are now well finished on
    vehicles and we do not feel the need to manufacture such a part.

    Ah. I'd like to see exhaust tips that they think aren't well finished. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the MK6 tips, but they're not particularly shiny.

    Hi Nokiauk how did you get on with your pipes, you get them sorted?
    My GT will be diesel, did you not say in an earlier post you measured yours and a colleagues diesel and they were both the same? As I am interested in a possible group buy.

    I'm not getting mine done until Friday, once I'm there I will investigate with the company whether they would be willing to supply tips made to the same measurements as mine for a discounted price, once I was able to get some confirmed orders.

    I would then have to investigate P&P costs or could see the the company would be willing to post.

    My colleagues car is a diesel and did have the same size pipes but there is at least one diesel MK6 on this forum that seems to have 70mm pipes, be best to measure yours just in case.

    Bear in mind that even if I can get tips supplied you will still have to arrange some welding to get them secured.

    Ok thanks. Unfortunately my car hasn't arrived yet to measure.
