Yes, sell it and buy something quicker.

Seriously, a n/a petrol is not tunable very easily, you can spend £1000s for not much gain.

well i was thinking of getting a project car but i really dont no what car to get. erm got about 2 grand but wanna spend less on the project car

Well for 2k you could have a Mk4 Golf GTI 1.8T or a Mk2 GTI

correct me if this is too much of a generalisation but, don't most project cars have about 10 times as much money spent on them than what they are worth in the 1st place. so a 1k car wold get 10k spent and a 2k car have 20k spent.

for 20k you could buy a second hand 170 TDI MK5 Golf and still afford to insure it.

I did say it was a generalisation.

I did say it was a generalisation.

9 times out of 10 that is the case I have read about Mini's having obscene amounts of money spent on them (ok I paid of £17K for my classic mini when I brought it new in 1999 but it's not standard) but some people have remogartaged their houses to fund projects!!!

But if your sensible shop around for parts can do work yourself then it can be do cheaply when we did my MKII Mini it costs somewhere between £1500 and £2000 ok it looked and is fairly standard but that was how I wanted it and I got an agreed value of £3500 on it too
