    Hi guys i am new in the forum and i am from Greece.
    I want to buy the new golf Gt 170 ps and just i want know if
    you heard anything for problems or broken engines etc
    Here in Greece there are some rumors for 32 broken engines.
    Please reply.
    And another one if you heard anything that VW will make an offer
    for special extras or packages for this model in the next 2 months
    like did with golf 4 generation .

    ok first of all.... as for special offers, im sure it would differ from country to country, the offers the uk receive are bound to be different from the ones you would receive.

    secondly, as for major/common issues, the mk5 is still a relativly new car, so most will come with a manufacturer warranty. when you say "broken" engines, what exactly do you mean?

    did anybody install an radio cd in golf gt not the original but something like sony pionerr etc and if yes need some special adapter or equipment.
    Or is better to order the vw model 500 with mp3 support and cd changer.
    The price is 446 euros for this

    is this going to be the general direction of this thread? dont thank me for my reply above or the time i took out to help you, just go ahead and ask another question manners cost nothing yet give so much.....

    as for the cd changer, yes you need an adapter, the origional changer is not able to connect to any aftermarket head unit without an adapter, the easiest is Sony as there is so much support out there for them.

    if you're buying a new car and have theoption of getting a proper VW mp3 head unit and changer fitted, id opt for that, it will pay dividends in terms of used value.
