Passat CD players

Did the Passat come with a multi player in the boot? Or was this an optional extra? I ask because a button on my head unit has CD on it but obviously I don't have the cd player.

How easy are they to retro fit and are they cheap?

It was an option.

The button is there for when the option is there.

They're simple to fit if the wiring is in place already.

If it's not, it may prove to be a bit more difficult.

Open the first aid compartment and poke around to see if any wiring is evident.

Price wise, sub £100 2nd hand, slightly more from the Dealer
