As a post in the "New members" topic has just reminded me, there is a facebook group for the forum:

    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=20057403664

Who is who? It's easy to see that Rick is erm... Rick on here, but who else is registered?

I'm the bloke in the red fleece doing the unconvincing catalogue pose in front of Niagra Falls, btw.

I resisted joining for a year and then gave it a go - it's a great way to keep in touch with people.

Read yesterday how people have been dropped or have dropped themselves in it on Facebook. Coppers are all over it like a rash, even going after coppers who have admitted some of the mildly dodgier stuff they have been up to at work.

Journalists have a course available to them which shows how to check someone out and gleen info from Facebook and the one that would concern most of us is that Facebook themselves are under investigation for not maintaining personnal info in a secure manner and retaining personnal info even when accounts are cancelled.

Its great when it is used properly but too many people are going on there after a couple of jars and spilling the beans about each other and too many people in authority are keeping an eye on it at the mo.

At the slightly amusing end of the scale, but it shows how highly it is monitored, an American student wrote in jest how they could all chip in and hire a an assasin to get the president replaced. Lost it's comedy factor when the secret service picked him up!

Simple rule -> don’t publish anything online that you would not want made public!

I think the police have a massive crack down on You Tube now too

I'm sure that we are all good law abiding citizens anyway!
