    Hi

I've a 2000 gttdi 115 and the door open indicator on the dash stays lit and interior lights now stay on. I've checked all the doors are shut and it is the drivers door that's causing the problem.

I thought it must be an iffy connection but on looking for the traditional 'plunger' that's linked to the interior light that gets depressed when the door is shut there isnt one. I wondered if anyone knows how the system works or am I probably looking at damp/water in the locking system?

The plunger is now a microswitch built into the lock. If you are up for it, you can strip it out and have a look. Sometimes it's fixable, sometimes not. Then you need a new lock.
