New Member - Passet 2003 TDi Questions

Hi All

I have just purchased a Passat '03 1.9TDi and have a few questions that i need answering. Sorry if some may seem lame, stupid or generally responded by ' Is this person actually allowed to drive on the UK roads!!!!; But any help would be great.

1. Where can i purchase a VW Passat User Manual From - Car came with full service history or sorts of nuts and bolts but no manual. Dont worry I;ve figured out where the steering wheel is But things like where the fuse box, what the buttons all do i dont know. Already played the game of press each button to see what it does, figured out most but not all.

2. Had the car 1 day and the radio/ tape & multi CD Changer have already gone. Has anybody got any ideas on how i can run the usual checks before i take it back to the garage and be told its something silly like a fuse ( Which on this car i havent found where fuse box is??? )

1. My guess is that it'd be an item to purchase from your local VW *******. I've had a quick look on ebay and there are a several listed. Do a search using the keywords of 'passat' and 'handbook' (rather than 'manual')

2. If I remember correctly from other posts, open the driver's door and there is a cover to remove from the dash (where is meets with the door) See this post for details of fuses and locations:
