8 weeks is enviable but looking back I (almost) don't mind having had to wait so long for mine because of the pleasure I'm getting out of driving it.
Like you, I had to wait for funds to transfer - the wait during the last few days before collection is the worst bit!

Big **** up!! Well a little one really but it feels like a big one. Money might not get to my bank account on Monday which means no car till Tuesday, possibly Wednesday!!!

Ouch - I feel your pain. My funds transferred 2 days faster than expected, which meant I had to wait 2 days longer than I need have done because I'd already set the delivery date!
Got up early yesterday to check my bank and the money was there.
So......Cancel work and wait for the dealer to open!!
Collected it mid morning yesterday. What a stunning looking car. The new 2009 styling for the s-line is very nice, especially the front bumper.
I didnt want to drive it away fron the dealers, I just wanted to look at it!!
Then when I did drive away, what a smooth, solid drive. Perfect.
I think I'm in love already!!!!
The dealer called us the end of last week and ours is now built.
He recons week after next we should be good to go. :beerchug:

Good news all round by the looks of it! I agree about the S-line styling - it really looks good on the car. Mine's got the xenons but my favourite bit about those is the eyebrows that come with them :cool:
