The s-lines in silver and more understated colours went for miles more. I like red and thought that i could spend the saved cash on mods which is what i have done. A friend of mine has recently picked up a 2004 sl600 with 36k on the clock with 1 owner from new and fmsh. It cost 106k and had the original bill of sale. he got it for 19k all in. Does 14mpg at times but its not an everyday car and he's well happy with it. You can pick up some good deals when there is no reserve although some have reserves similar to what you'd pay outside of auction and they don't get any bids unless private man wants it. Cheers
