Hello there,
Can someone help me identify part in picture and suggest remedy!!
The engine cover on my 01 passat tdi came loose and from vibration and friction sheared a hole in the bend pictured.so im leaking deisel. is it the case that i can just replace the bend thats damaged or is the whole unit buggered??
While im here i may as well ask if anyone knows where i could pick up a replacement engine cover?

Can you give me the part number off the label? or what looks like a part number from the picture...
I will then see if I can find what it is.
Unless I'm very much mistaken, that's the union to the fuel filter, whether you can pick the union up separately I don't know.Quote:

in work at the moment but will post the number on the label this evening
I believe that is a fuel cooler. I looked at mine, it appears that the pipe is welded to it. It may be possible to braze or solder the pipe to repair the hole.Quote:

It's not the fuel filter! The part in the photo is attached to the filter by the bolt in the centre. The filter itself has no pipes attached to it!Quote:

3B0 201 896 is not available as a spare part, you have to buy assembly 3B0 127 400 C which is £160.
