how much hard work is it to sort illumination out for the heater dials in my 2000(w)bora

how you mean , is the light not coming on around the turn switches?

if its this , just pull of the knobs then the clear plastic peice then you can get et the bulb

if its that simple will give it a shot,was told by the garage i bought it off that the center console had to come out and some other bits

Just done mine tonight,
1. Set fan speed control dial to '2'
2. Pull fan speed control dial off
3. Long nose pliers to remove bulb (its a capless bulb)
4. UK replacement bulb is known as R286
5. Replace bulb with long nose pliers.
6. Replace knob.

Strandard long nose pliers are too large, i borrowed a small set from a mate, i reckon i could've got away with a set of tweezers.

Only one bulb to replace, it lights the others too

Ten minutes tops!
