Performance, prestige and exclusivity with full everyday practicality

    • Since their launch back in 1994, 25 RS models have been added to the product range
    • Six Audi Sport models due, of which two are completely new, in 2019 alone
    • Anniversary exhibition of RS rarities in the Audi Forum at Neckarsulm

A quarter of a century has passed since the first Audi RS model was launched on the market, marking the beginning of a success story. Ever since the introduction of the iconic RS 2 Avant, the Audi RS models have always been held in high esteem, with many examples now enjoying cult status. To date, Audi Sport GmbH, formerly quattro GmbH, has presented a total of 25 RS models. In 2019, a further six are being presented, of which two are completely new additions to the RS roster.

At Audi, the designation “RS” stands for a philosophy that is driven by a quest for top performance and perfection. “Every RS model expresses the passion that we put into developing our high-performance cars,” said Oliver Hoffmann, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. “For 25 years, our customers have been experiencing the RS models as masterful companions for everyday life that convey pure emotion and maximum driving enjoyment.”

The RS models are the spearheads of their respective product lines. They stand for performance, prestige and exclusivity at the limit of what is technically feasible without any loss of everyday usability. Many of them are pioneers in their market segments and trailblazers for technical innovations – that applied to the Audi RS 4 Avant with its barnstorming biturbo V6 19 years ago and it applies just as much to the TT RS and its multi-award-winning, forceful five cylinder in its latest evolutionary stage.

    • The SUVs now come with the option of Side Assist, featuring a range of 70 m and more easily noticeable light signals
    • ŠKODA lettering on the rear instead of the logo is a distinguishing feature of the new models
    • KAROQ and KODIAQ SUVs continue to drive growth for the Czech car manufacturer

The successful ŠKODA KAROQ and ŠKODA KODIAQ SUVs are entering the 2020 model year with enhanced equipment for even more safety and comfort. Side Assist is now available for both models, for example, and warns the driver of vehicles in the blind spot up to 70 m away. One distinguishing visual feature that the latest versions of both popular SUVs have in common is the ŠKODA lettering on the tailgate.

In addition to a striking, emotive design language and a generous amount of space, the ŠKODA KODIAQ and ŠKODA KAROQ also boast new self-assured brand lettering on the tailgate. This hallmark adorns the new ŠKODA SCALA and KAMIQ compact models as well as the recently updated SUPERB, and will now gradually feature on the rear of all ŠKODA models.

Side Assist with a range of 70 m

The optional Side Assist has been added to the comprehensive selection of assistance systems for the ŠKODA KODIAQ and KAROQ, replacing the previous Blind Spot Detect in both SUVs. In the new system, the range increases from 20 to 70 m. It uses two radar sensors to detect vehicles approaching from behind or that are in the car’s blind spot. The warning signals have been made more noticeable for the driver too. Rather than being situated in the mirror’s glass as they were before, the light signals are now found on the insides of ...

Latest Audi performance flagship combines bi-turbo eight-cylinder TFSI with advanced wheel-specific active suspension

    • V8 high-performance engine with 571PS and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque
    • Unique combination of innovative standard fit suspension systems ensures outstanding vehicle dynamics
    • Available to order in the UK in the autumn exclusively in standard wheelbase form, first deliveries in late 2019

Devotees of luxury travel who don’t always want to take a back seat will welcome the return of the Audi S8, which in its latest iteration combines the rarefied comfort and refinement of the flagship Audi A8 saloon with a bi-turbo V8 petrol engine channelling an impressive 571PS and 800Nm of torque to the road via predictive active suspension, dynamic-all-wheel steering and quattro drive supplemented by a rear sport differential. These advanced systems ensure the plentiful power is as gainfully employed as possible during more challenging driving, and the latest cylinder-on-demand and mild hybrid drivetrain technologies also manage it responsibly when the car is in relaxed, trans-continental cruising mode.

    Impressive performance: the engine

As a V8 engine with mild hybrid technology, the high-performance unit in the Audi S8 offers not only maximum smoothness, but with an output of 571PS, 800 Nm (590.0 lb-ft) of torque and two turbochargers also the certainty that ample power is available for any situation.

Iron-lined cylinder barrels in the aluminium crankcase reduce friction for exceptionally smooth running, and for moments when power takes precedence automatically actuated flaps in the exhaust system accentuate the already impressive V8 sound. For

Audi Tradition once again attends the Mecca of historic motorsport

    • Stig Blomqvist behind the wheel of the Audi Rallye quattro A2
    • Frank Biela will pilot the Audi 90 quattro IMSA-GTO
    • Audi 200 quattro TransAm will be driven by Benoit Tréluyer

At this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (taking place from 4th to 7th of July), Audi Tradition will be sending the Audi Rallye quattro A2, the Audi 90 quattro IMSA-GTO and the Audi 200 quattro TransAm to take on the world famous hill climb. The Audi Motorsport icons will be driven by outstanding names from Audi's history. World rally champion Stig Blomqvist will drive the car with which he became world champion in 1984. Five-time Le Mans winner Frank Biela will be behind the wheel of the Audi 200 quattro TransAm, while three-time Le Mans winner Benoit Tréluyer will be giving it his all in the Audi 90 quattro IMSA-GTO.

Rally fans can expect to see the 1984 Audi Rallye quattro A2 at full throttle. The long wheelbase version was a further development of the previous year's car with which Hannu Mikkola became world champion. Audi opened the 1984 season with a bang when the team with the four rings landed a triple victory at the Monte Carlo Rally. Walter Röhrl, who had just joined Audi Sport, triumphed in his first appearance – but the season was to be shaped by someone else.

The Swede Stig Blomqvist already won the next world championship race in Sweden and finished the season as the world champion driver. Audi also became the brand world champion. At Goodwood, Blomqvist will drive ...

Range-topping Audi SUV achieves ‘S’ model status through a V8 TDI with 900Nm and advanced chassis technology including active roll stabilisation

    • Most-powerful diesel engine on the European market – biturbo V8 with 435 metric horsepower and 900Nm of torque
    • Touch response operation, extensive connection, many assist systems
    • Available in the UK from July in SQ8 TDI and SQ8 TDI Vorsprung forms
    • Active roll stabilisation, all-wheel steering and sport differential for Vorsprung versions

The top tier Audi luxury SUV is about to show a harder-edged side to its character as a brawny V8 TDI with 435PS and 900Nm of torque thrusts its performance squarely into ‘S’ model territory – the new SQ8 TDI becomes available to order in the UK next month in ‘standard’ or exhaustively equipped Vorsprung forms, the latter marshalling the copious power with the help of all-wheel-steering, the quattro sport rear axle differential and active roll stabilisation made possible by the car’s advanced 48-volt circuitry.

Power and efficiency: 4.0 TDI with electric powered compressor

The 4.0-litre biturbo V8 in the Audi SQ8 TDI will be notable as the most powerful diesel engine available on the European market. It combines its potency with a high level of economy and integrates a whole package of high-tech solutions. The engine delivers 435PS and a mammoth 900 Nm (663.8 lb-ft) of torque between 1,250 and 3,250 rpm, credentials that enable it to propel the SQ8 like a sports car: acceleration from rest to 62mph requires just 4.8 seconds, soon after which the electronic propulsion limit kicks in at 155mph. The power of the V8 engine is emphasised by an engine cover specific to the S model series. Red applications flank the striking contours of the cylinder and visualise the air ducting.
