Hi.
I am looking to fit a De_cat pipe on my 80 1.6 ADA engine as the cat is blowing and at the moment will fit a de-cat pipe rather than the expence of a new cat. Any ideas as to where I can obtain one.
Thanks

I had the same problem on my 1990 Audi 80 2.0 litre sport, i got the part numbers from an exhaust catalogue (friendly tyre and exhaust place) and we found that some audis that don't have a cat have a straight bit of pipe instead. We just matched up the part numbers on my exhaust on the bits between the cat and searched in the catalogue till we found a non cat version with the same part numbers between the cat, then ordered the bit that replaces the cat. He had to weld a bit on where the lambda probe goes in or something and job done. You could make your own by using the original flange bits and welding a piece of pipe between at the correct length. Most people seem to want £100 up for a specialist de-cat pipe, its up to you if you want to spend that on your car.
