Hi all,
I have a passat 2007 2.0l TDI estate. it seems to have a rather dangerous fault.
When idling, usually when cold but also on warming up the engine shakes very noticeably and sounds near on cutting out but also like diesel pinging i think, when this is happening the fumes out the exhaust will make your eyes burn and water they are that strong!
I've looked through here but cant seem to see anything, I've just purchased vag com from genden and it reads the below fault, it only reads this after a drive. on idle for an hour today it does not register any faults at all. (this code is the same on 2 maf sensors as i went and got another today)
the exhaust gases are deadly and i need to resolve this, the engine rocks and knocks when this is happening but it seems to purr when warm although the fumes are still strong.
I've been reading and just spotted a post including the tandem pump, I've checked my Fuel filter and it is oily.... if there is oil in my diesel would it burn as a strong smell like my fumes are?
any ideas please?
