Micro-can will work with the 8P so you're a good candidate.
If OP tells me his model of car, what is fitted and radio etc I'll work out the coding and paste it up.

Im in north Bristol just of J16. Once you get over 10 posts you can PM me.
Im more than happy to help though, even better if we can get the coding info in advance as it saves stumbling around so shouldnt take too long.

Ignition OFF then Ignition ON
Step 2
- Go into Radio (56)
- Coding (07)
- +4 to the second digit in the original code - EXAMPLE - Original Code - 0310211 ..... New Code - 0710211
- Accept code and press Do It
- Close and go back to main screen

Everything you need is in post #13. OBD port is above the throttle, bright pink.

Yes! The rnse in next on the list to do. Looks easy enough to do!
i also want to install cruise control, how complex is that to do? How do I know what parts to get? I've tried looking for a guide but I haven't seen one specific to my 8p

I've added rnse and cruise, both are pretty simple.
How To - Retrofit RNS-E to Audi A3 8P Retrofit Guide (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?145964-How-To-Retrofit-RNS-E-to-Audi-A3-8P-Retrofit-Guide&highlight=)
Did minty do an autoscan of your car? Your steering module should be compatible with cruise but best checking the part number first.

Only way is disassembling the steering column surround, removing airbag and 'wheel and eyeballing the Steering ECU.

Hi,
Sorry to bring up a thread from the past! I have recently purchased a newer Audi A3 (11 Sportsback), and an Audi A3 bluetooth module. I will be fitting this once i receive the wiring Ive bought off eBay.
I don't suppose anyone of here (from Bristol) could help with the coding for to set it up with steering wheel functionality? Happy to chuck you a few £ or a bottle of your choice?
Thanks!
