Passenger door occasionally not opening with the exterior door handle

I think your having the same intermittent issue as me.

Not quite..... Central locking works all round its just intermittently when centrally opened, the passenger door won't let the missus in

My fault in depth:-

If I open doors via key fob or button inside of drivers door the rear passenger door won't allow a person in from outside. Then if the rear door is opened manually using inside door release it opens fine from outside handle until it is either locked via keyfob or the automatic door locking occurs when you reach x mph speed. To then again allow a person in from outside you must use the inside door release to open door as outside handle has no effect.

To me your fault is only differing on which door its happening to.

I have the same intermittent fault with my drivers side, but have noticed more evident when damp/cold, so for example it gave me no problems over the Summer months and only started playing up last week.

Also have noticed that it happens less after the battery is fully charged*

As we're now midway through Nov that all drivers try (wherever possible) to trickle charge their batteries to give them a better chance over the winter months...when we'll doubtless be using electric stuff more.

*To give you an example I was having the problem yesterday, put it on charge using my CTEK charger shortly after this post, 15hrs later the charger was still not saying it had fully conditioned/charged the battery (it can take several days to run through the whole cycle). However the drivers door is locking/unlocking every time on the 5 occasions I've tried this morn....coincidence? I think possibly when an actuator/solenoid is on 'the way out' it takes more voltage to move it.
