    Just thought i would share this with all the Golf Mk5 and Mk6 owners out there who may be interested in this.

    Have seen on the Euro market cars that they have a chrome trim for the boot lid.

    Managed to source it through parts dept at Halifax VW (Nigel's the man).

    Its a bit pricey but worth the money i think

    The part number is 5KO 071 360.

    Its easy to fit/secure. Comes pre-cut with self adhesive backing (like car badges but stronger stuff). Just align one corner and peel and stick the rest. Apply some pressure so it bonds to the boot and hey presto job done in 15mins max.

    Got to be honest, I think it makes the back of the car look too 'busy', for want of a better word.

    One thing I really like about the Mk5 is how clean the whole back end looks relative to things like astras and foci.
    Get educated or get ripped off!

    I know what you mean but I think the future is going to be 'busy' and not 'bland'
