VR6 stuck?

hey this is a friends mk3 golf vr6, having a little trouble as the item that ive highlighted in the picture has split just wondering if anybody knows what its called and where to get one from as he has been told this is a main dealer only item and has been to a main dealer who quoted him £80. Not sure how true this is but any help would be much appreciated, thanks

I agree. Check around for a used part. A bit of Googling will probably find something or a probable source. Try ringing round scrap yards, although the likelihoodod of coming across a VR6 is limited, you never know.
