    Hi
    I have a 1997 18t with the AEB engine.
I have developed a problem with the number 1 cylinder not firing at all.
I have changed the plugs and coil packs and still have no spark at no 1.I went and had it set up on a diagnostic machine (NOT VAG) with no faults related to the problem.

Has anyone had this fault or can anyone point me in the right direction, could it be the wiring loom or ecu.

    thanks for any help
    Alex

For anyone who has the same problem or wondering what the fault was, it was the ignition module.had it on a vag diagnostic and it would not pin point the problem.I had to back track from the plugs to ecu and changed the module which sits on top of air box.£149.00 from Audi or £20.00 from car breakers.easy change , no tools required.Job done
