    Hi, i am going to replace my cv boot but am having some trouble removing the top ball joints from the pinch bolt, nut off and trying to remove the bolt, is this correct as it does not want to be removed,1 of the ball joints is slack now it moves a few mm just want to make sure i am going abut this the correct way before i go any further . Chris

    Those bolts can be difficult to remove.Sort out a replacement first.you will probably have to punch it out.

    It can be done without removing the top arms/pinch bolt by removing the hub bolt/driveshaft just has enogh room to wiggle out.

    Drop the bottom arms off, do not try and release that top bolt unless you have to.
