Can anybody tell me what the options code for the auto dimming rear view mirror on a 2005 Allroad? Or were they standard for the car?

The reason I ask is because I had a new windscreen fitted by Autoglass yesterday and I'm convinced they've fitted the wrong mirror.

I accept that I should have checked what mirror was fitted beforehand, but it's not something I've taken much notice of before. The O/H is also convinced it's a different mirror. I thought it "felt" different when I went to adjust it.

I called Autoglass as soon as I noticed, but got the expected "We just fitted what came off sir".

I'm trying to get hold of the previous owner (from new) to check whether he ever had any reason to change the thing before I take things any further.

    Cheers,

    John.

If you have the option list which in mine is in the service plan book you can use this site to find out.

If the exterior mirrors dim the interior one does as well.

Describe what you have and also tell me when in 2005 was the car built. According to the Manual you should have an auto dimming mirror. Do you have the photo sensor and a switch on the lower centre of the mirror to turn the auto dim function off. Do you have rain detection and auto lights. Regards Peter

Cheers for the input lads, much appreciated.

I followed your link Hibberd and it turns out the car isn't fitted with auto dimming mirrors. Bummer.

A bit disappointing actually, considering the car is quite highly specced otherwise.
