got a terrific rattle coming from my 2001 a4 quattro sport 1.8T, know that its the camshaft actuator, been told 350 +VAT. anyone know where i could get one cheaper, alot cheaper. not really wanting to shell out for that plus labour plus whatever else is wrong with it.

    thanks in advance

When I see this on the 1.8T engine with the electric cam control, it is often an early warning sign of oil pump pick up blockage.

The part is only available genuine as far as I know, 058 109 088 K.
