    Good afternoon!

Ive recently bought a 1991 Mk2 Golf 8v GTi to replace my 2003 Mk4 GT TDi

Being a hated of modified cars I am trying to get it back to it's origonal state!!

I'm almost, apart from the wheels, dont know what wheels it should have!!

Any ideas where I can find out?

    Cheers

    Graeme

Hello Graeme , Ive owned one of these cars for a few years now. the late mk2 8v s came with 14ins BBS RA (spokes in a crosswire design) as standard but most had the uprated 15ins from the 16v model . However these wheels might not be to everyones taste ! so it should nt be too hard to come across a set ! Condition will dictate the value but a few years ago GPC were selling them for £250 each ! Ebay is prob your best bet . Other options ATS cups , Azev A s or BBS 3piece rims
    Best of luck

Definitely give ebay a trawl, i've been looking for some time now and they do come up, but expect to pay up to £300 for a good set!

The other wheel types that were fitted to the 8v's were Silverstone Teardrop alloys.

Worth having a look at them if you can find a set?

P-slots (Pirelli) are also an option as are GTI steel wheels (still available from VW I think)

A fuller list of all Mk2 wheels is listed here:
