Small Grilles Roof Console

Ok, what are these for, if you look at the roof console there are 2 grilles about 1.5 inches square, I thought it might be speakers or vents, but it doesn't seem to be either.

I'd guess that they are cabin sensors for the alarm system?

i thought they were for the mic on models that had the phone option fitted.
i worked at the astra plant for several years and they had mics fitted into the interior lights

Yes, they are for the phone kit microphone.
