Got a major problem here, and I was hoping that somebody her could help me out. Our car decided to cut out on us the other day whilst exiting a roundabout onto a dual carriage way. Luckily we managed to roll the car into a layby, but the thing wouldn't stop start again. It turns overs and tries to, but it just dies. A friend managed to come to our aid and said that it was the fuel injector gasket that was lettin too much air in. So we towed it home, and ordered a replacement. Upon gettin the part, I fitted it without much problems (even though I've never worked on a car before). I wasn't sure how much gasket sealant I was meant to smear on the gasket, but I think I put enough on. Anyway, the car started and ran twice and I thought, great. I did it. But then after trying a third time, its still doing the same thing. Now I am totally stuck, and my friend who helped us out is unable to get down due to work.

Can you guys help with any suggestions?????

    Andy

Do you see anything on the dash when it cuts out? Is the idle rough?

I uploaded a YouTube video to help diagnose my issues, is it possible to do the same?

Also do you know the year/model? (ie engine block code, 3 letters always starts with an A)

I would try to get a codescan/input reading done as a first port of call
