The only other thing if it will fit I can think of is to use an ariel from a well known brand, i'e Navman etc, it could be the unit comes with a very cheapo unit, I had a Chinese unit myself in the Superb for a while, did almost everything well except the bluetooth phone, ppl would moan they couldn't hear me, I put it down to the internal mic, but I reckon if I'd bought an ext mic for it, it would probably have function every bit as well as a Parrot kit.

I bought a parrot mic for mine and it worked 10x better.

I put the nav ariel behind the tax disk holder on the dash board. Very easy to place, can't see it from out side, barely noticable inside and reception is spot on.

I'm selling my unit so if anyone is interested let me know. Still in perfect working order and looks like new.

Just picked this thread up. T.B.H the free maps you get from Nokia is due to Nokia trying to get some of the old customers back. Back in the day nokia was the generic name for a mobile but times have changed.

Like you would say where is the hoover not vaccum. Or should i say Dyson now . The same applies for sat nav.

I have a top spec Tom Tom around 2 yrs old but still works excellent and has far better features than my nokia company phone. Dont get me wrong the nokia is great if on foot and a little lost but the tom tom wins hands down on the road. Also it links to my mobile and i get the sound out of my car speakers.

I would love a headunit that combines it all decent quality. excellent tv pic & sat nav. But i feel you need to be paying around a £1000 for a decent unit.

I'm not in to the use for a couple of years and throw away. All my electrical gizmo's normally are the top spec so I expect them to out last cheaper alternatives. Thats my take on it

Thats the exact same unit i fitted yesterday..........had a good play around with it today and i have to be honest its very good for the money, Using the SD card for mp3's is great i find. Sat nav is spot on and BT excellent too. I have an external mic to fit to it tomorrow but the units own one is fine. I'll put up a few more pics tomorrow. Cost me € 356 all in............so far so good.
