    hi does anyone have any positive or negative views about fitting mudflaps on a gti mk5 golf.
    do they look naff , do they look smart.
    please let me know, im undecided about if i should have them fitted or not.

    I think they look alright...although saying that i've had them fitted to the Jetta for a few months and I'm still undecided. At some angles they give the car a slightly chunkier look. And others they don't look that good. I'll probably keep them though.

    cheers, still not decided yet as i am planning on changing the originals 17inch monzas to 18 inch replica shadows, not sure if mudflaps will make it look untidy.

    Hi. I reckon they look ok on my 2004 2.0 FSI GT (205/55 16" wheels). The main reason I got them though, was to reduce the amount of spray thrown up on the rear window. They definitely reduce the need to leave the wiper on all the time in the rain.

    imho i think front and rear mud flaps complete the look of the mk5 as long as they are genuine vag mud flaps, thing is i cant bring myself to spend £60 odd quid on some mud flaps just yet, i dare say by oct i will tho lol

    Hi I've found a set for £30 from scrap yard, they are from
    a 2005 Tdi. Are the the mudflaps all unversal for the mk5, mines a gti with
    17inch alloys. Upgrading to 18 inch replica shadow monzas, soon as I afford it. I've not seen any pictures of any Gti's with mudflap.

    Yea mate they are the same I'm sure, and they are easy to fit, if u change your mind about fitting them pm me and I will buy em off u bud lol
