ESP warning light constantly on help

I have just collected my car from the garage to be told that the ESP warning light has come on. They said that they tried reseting it but it just kept coming back on. I've read in a few places that perhaps it is due to the battery being disconnected. This was done as one of the fans would not stop spinning. This has now been replaced and the ESP light is the new problem. Any suggestions as to what to do? Should i take it to audi? Is there anyone in the burgess hill area with a vag-com that could come and check what it says could be causing the problem?

usually the light goes out after you go over 15kmh.steering angle sensor or some other sensor may need calibrated.with engine running,try turning the steering wheel full left lock then full right lock while stationary,then drive in a straight line over 10 mph,then brake to a complete stop.switch off your ignition then turn it back on and see if that works.other wise you may need a 5051 to see what fault is stored,possibly some calibrations may need carried out.
