My econ light would not go out the other day. Took it to garage and got system emptied/refilled and all ok. They gave me a print out of what they took out and what they put back in.

No just a local garage. My local specalist wanted to charge me to put on diagnostic machine before fixing. The garage I took it to charged me the same to refill and would put on dianostic machine free if this did not work.

Sounds like the pressure sensor quite a common fault but you need a diagnostic scan to confirm this.

A snap on one should do we have a snap on solus pro 0n 9.2 software that we use now and again and its quite good on vag but not as good as vag com but should have no problem pulling the code and looking at the signal from the sensor

I would suspect the sensor but take a look here http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/00819 this will help you sort it
