Hi, I have recently upgraded the factory fitted rcd210 in my Golf mk vi. After installing the stereo everything works fine and the stereo looks great displaying rds! However as I drive the fm signal drops, but by pressing the radio channel preset normal service is resumed. When I removed the rcd 210 the head unit only had 1 fm input, the rcd 310 headunit has 2 fm inputs ( I checked the pinout and connected my antenna to the primary fm input). Does anybody have any suggestions to what I may do to resolve this fm signal loss or suggest some sort of rf splitter that would allow me to give an rf signal to both fm1 & fm2 inputs on the rcd310 head unit???

    Thanks in advance

    Tippers

Thanks Brian, through the link I have further found that when the rcd 210 is factory fitted one FM aerial is installed (left), when rcd 310 upwards are installed two FM aerials are installed (left & right)! The issue I have is quite common in the USA because of the satellite radio systems they have over there!
I have found the following item on the Internet that an American vw expert has recommended, however in unavailable for purchase in the UK.......nightmare!!!! Any ideas who may sell similar????
