    Hi guys can anyone advise if uk 1997 1.9 tdi with an afn engine has one of these , as ive heard from other fourms that these can get blocked and effect air intake but this was U S site Im not sure if uk cars have these?

    I think it just a US thing, i don't have such a think on my Audi A4 (AFN).

    thanks for that , can you help me with this please , im trying to find out the real name for an n75 valve from , gsf or euro, for my 1997 1.9 tdi afn engine , as vagcom thru up 0575 intake manifold pressure control difference. ive replaced all hoses aprt from ecu one i was going to change this next .

    The N75 valve is part of the turbo and is mechanical, the valve is controlled by the 'pressure converter' part number 1H0906627A

    It's bolted to the underside of the air intake pipe at the back of the engine, a bit difficult to see. looks like a screen washer pump.

    It sounds like you're trying to diagnose a lack-of-power issue? Have you tried replacing the MAF?

    This component has a poor reliability record and is often the cause of many power related probs.

    thanks for your posts guys the maff and new hoses have solved my issues the error code isn flagging up now and its a lot more torque aswell
