touran- no response from throttle pedal following gear change.

105bhp Touran 2004 - eng code AQM.

Car has developed a fault where following a gear change, up or down, there is no response from throttle pedal, car just goes into idle. The problem is intermittant and can run fine for a while.

Garage ran diag test and came up various possible components with a code G40 - cam sensor, crank sensor , thrust sensor and throttle position sensor.
A thrust sensor was recently fitted and now a new pedal and sensor has been fitted, however the problem still persists.



Any of you guys come across similar problems? any help would be much appreciated.

I have had to fit a few new throttle pedals to Touran’s, it appears to be a common problem but it has not solved your issue.

Unfortunately, without a numbered list (either VAG or P codes) of the current stored codes, it is impossible for me to help any more.
