    Help pleeeeease!!

The wife started her passat this afternoon and a puff of blue smoke came out the exhaust, she reversed half way out the drive and the car cut out. Restarted it and reversed out on to the road, all the time belching blue smoke. Car then cut out and took a few attempts to start again. Put it back up the drive and took my car!!

What could be wrong?? Car was fully serviced about 8 weeks ago, the engine management light has been intermittent for about 6 months now but no faults were showing. Passed mot 8 weeks ago no probs.

In the past few weeks the car has been losing coolant, ive checked the oil tonight and there is a smell of petrol from the dipstick.

    The vehicle is a 2001 Y-reg Passat Sports 2.0

    Please help........

Sounds like faulty MAF. A fault code read would be a good place to start.

Had it in the garage today - turns out that the choke on it is sticking causing it to run on full choke most of the time
